Autumn is almost here! It’s September and beautiful. The weather has started to cool down significantly - a nice 84 degrees today.  As we all know, the days will get shorter and colder. More time will be spent indoors making for more likelihood of children getting sick from being in closed quarters. To help stop the spread of the cold and flu, wash your’s and your child’s hands with warm, soapy water for at least 30 seconds. Wash hands after blowing noses, coughing and diaper changing. Disinfect diaper changing areas and toys. This will greatly help! If your little one  is experiencing any symptoms of the cold or flu, let us and your doctor know. They may need plenty of rest and fluids.. and plenty of cuddles and love. Here’s to a wonderful autumn season!

Completed the CPR and First Aid class last week. Next on this list is one class on Preventative Health Care Practices and (cringe) get poked for our TB clearances. Then I can send in my application for our Small Family Child Care Home! Got a few more requirements done around the house (like a fire extinquisher and more child locks) and DIY projects just to make it super nice and ready. Well June is here and my little boy will be a year old in a few weeks. It’s hard to believe a year ago he was just a bun in the oven. Now he’s walking everywhere and just cut his two front teeth! (Two top, two bottoms!)

I am currently getting my CPR, First Aid and Preventative Health Care training and tying up the loose ends to receive my license. We recently converted our old home office into a new playroom. Soon there will be a child size table and chairs to sit and play at, cubbies, more learning activities and pretend play toys and then children to fill the space once we’re completely established and licensing has been completed.
